Treatment and Reutilization of Wastewater Generated in the Chemical and Petrochemical Industry

The chemical and petrochemical industry has experienced continuous growth over the past 10 years, with significant growth and investment opportunities. The activities and processes involved require high volumes of water, which in most cases must meet specific conditions to guarantee the quality of the final product. On the other hand, the wastewater generated in these activities, with the presence of compounds of difficult treatability, requires adequate treatment for their disposal. Both cases require significant investment. This scenario, coupled with the high water deficit worldwide, raises the need to focus the treatment of effluents generated in the chemical and petrochemical industry for reuse in the same process, through a combination of conventional and non-conventional physicochemical and biological processes. It is of utmost importance to hold a special session on this topic for the exchange of ideas and proposals among various specialists.

A Special Session on Emerging and Reemerging Viruses, in Asia

Emerging and reemerging viruses are spotted as major cause of increased death rates, significant burden on public health, and economic stability of nations around the globe. Many of these viral pathogens have recently posed high public health concerns and even created havocs in general public due to their pandemic threats owing to rapid spread, increased virulence and potential to affect large number of human population while crossing international boundaries in a quick way. Lack of adequate knowledge and deficient prevention control measures including of non-availability of effective vaccines, drugs and therapeutics aggravated the panics. Few of such viral recent pathogens of high concerns include Ebola virus, Zika virus, Avian / Bird flu virus, Swine Flu virus and other viruses such as Japanese encephalitis virus, Dengue Virus, Chicken Guinea virus, Yellow fever virus, Crimean Congo Haemoorhagic fever virus, West Nile virus, Heptitis B virus and others such deadly viruses which have altogether made the life of a common person miserable as well as all the time haunted with unavoidable and beyond control situations with high fears and scared environment/atmosphere. Under such adverse scenario of many life-threatening viral pathogens, researchers worldwide are working high to discover and design effective and novel drugs, therapeutics and vaccines to counter these viral pathogens and safeguarding health of humans as well as their companion animals. Keeping in view the current scenario Asian Conference on Science Technology & Medicine is organizing a Key Session which aims to discover the basic points of virus emergency, virus emerging factors, virus-vector-host interactions, genomic diversity and virus evolution, zoonotic viruses, viral epidemiology, pathogenesis, pharmacological perspectives, drug discovery, therapeutic avenues, vaccination and gene therapy as well as possible interaction of fields of virology with immunology, molecular biology, biotechnology and pharmacology. The session will develop sound understanding to induction of viral diseases and their possible remedy or preventive measures with the expert virologists from all around the Asia.

This special session invites researchers, scientists, teachers, acdemicians, professionals of medical, veterinary, pharmacology, biomedicine and other related fields to actively contribute and participate with their related topics/ themes and present / share their research experiences and significant findings as well as submit as well as submit their full length research and review / mini-review articles along with MS power point presentations.

Selected papers out of this special session will be published in International journal of Pharmacology and other relevant / appropriate journal of Science Alert after peer-reviewing process.
